We are excited to share our upcoming season of performances, artist residencies, and mentorships.
PLUNGE Mentorship Project Performance
The PLUNGE Mentorship Project is a paid mentored project in creation and performance providing opportunities for emerging and early-career artists. In Spring 2023 we held movement auditions and applications for artists in stage management, lighting design, sound design, and costume design. Five dancer mentees and four production mentees have been selected and will showcase their mentored work this Fall.

Banff Centre for the Arts - Final Tuning Residency
The Family Room team will integrate feedback from our April 2023 preview performance in preparation for our world premiere.
The Falling Company will receive access to a Banff Centre dance studio for three weeks to work on adjusting and solidifying this work. A showcase of the work will be held at the Banff Centre's Jenny Belzberg Theatre February 23-24, 2024

Family Room (world premiere)
Family Room recreates a studio apartment through a set design of furniture and home decor. This is the foundation for a series of solos to interact with the same household objects, each object representing a relationship, dynamic, and history between different family members.

Dance Victoria Artist-in-Residence
Marissa will be collaborating with filmmaker Jared Davis during a 10 day residency in Victoria, BC. Marissa’s movement background of ballet, contemporary dance, aerial silks, and contact improvisation compliments Jared’s background in Parkour, breaking, house dance and hustle. This multidisciplinary work will also include sound designer, Jamie Bradbury
