Departure

Departure is a self-choregraphed, contemporary dance solo that explores the impact experiences have on emotional triggers and behaviour patterns. Inspired by the novel ‘The Body Keeps the Score’ by Bessel Van Der Kolk, Marissa challenges her response to past events by exposing previously repressed impulses.
